Now that I have started working at a new place there are a few things that I've needed to change in my morning routine. Since I am commuting to Pleasant Grove I need to wake up about an hour earlier than I used to. Another thing is dressing business... you can't just throw on a camo hat and call it good with business attire. So you kind of have to "do your hair" every day. My first week was so frustrating my hair wasn't doing anything right. I called my trusty hair friend and she said we could perm it. So here it is!!
We used curlers called CurlFormers, they are actually curlers that you can sleep in. But you can also use them as perm rods. The whole process took about 3 hours. The last pic is 5 days later, washed and dried. I looked all over the internet for suggestions on using these rods, but I couldn't really find anything. Only black women have used these as perm rods.
To sum, I like the perm. I can "do my hair" way faster in the morning. It's definitely not a tight perm. It's more wavy than anything, I think it looks pretty natural!

That looks really cute! Wavy hair has always been my dream, alas my hair will only be straight. Yours looks very natural. And how great that it is fast and easy to do! Is that Shelley's work? I am still loving my highlights from her. She's good.
